Mesco Helps Man’s Best Friend.

Damage brought on by Hurricane Katrina can still be seen along the Gulf Coast even years after. Some of the most heavily impacted are the animals that were abandoned during the evacuation. This past June, the new Hancock County Animal Shelter, located in Hancock County, Mississippi opened its doors.

Capable of housing up to 50 dogs and 30 cats, this 3,000 square foot facility was the dream of the BucksMont Katrina Relief Group, along with a little help from Mesco, and Mesco Authorized Builder Sam B. Day Construction. The building’s use of Mesco’s Double-Lok Roof System, a Simple Saver Insulation System, and IPS panels along the exterior of the kennel area ensure that this new facility will run efficiently and without breaking the bank. The team at the Hancock Shelter is already seeing significant reductions in their utility usage.

Mesco is proud to have played a role in helping these lovable animals find a new habitat.
